A downloadable Isometric Shooter

Ashgrove Manor is an isometric survival shooter that takes place entirely inside a house that will not hold still. You arrive on the ground floor with a revolver, a lamp, and no particular plan. You clear the floor of what is walking on it. The manor then rearranges itself – larger, deeper, worse lit – and you go down again.

Every floor is generated when you reach it: rooms partitioned and furnished from scratch, halls and ballrooms and libraries and kitchens threaded together by corridors, then dressed with a few hundred pieces of furniture and several hundred lamps. Nothing is placed by hand and nothing repeats. The only fixed point is the stall you arrive beside.

What separates it from its neighbors in the genre is that the house is made of matter rather than scenery. Every wall, every chair, every altar is a grid of voxels, and every round you fire carves a sphere out of whichever grid it strikes. A revolver chips. A furnace gun opens a doorway through masonry in five shots. Anything cut loose from what was holding it up falls, tumbles, and comes to rest as rubble that is itself solid, shootable, and in the way.
